  1. Mmmm . . . I love this. I’m a boat fanatic, so it appeals to me on that level, and brings back memories of when we we’re hauled out and living on the hard. But I also love the simple serenity and the sepia washes and brooding sky. It captures so beautifully what it feels like to be so near the ocean in that work-wise way, where it’s part of your ordinary life but then there’s nothing ordinary about it.

    1. Thanks so much Deborah – I think there’s a real synergy between watercolour and boats – like some-kind of magnetic attraction. I’m sure that you having deep experiences of both will only serve to influence your painting!
